安卡酒庄

葡萄园

安卡酒庄建立于2001年,位于俄勒冈州的厦黑林山产区。海拔大概在350-650英尺之间,以自北向南的方法种植。产区气候常年受到凉爽,干燥的风影响,所以能够很好的预防霜冻和霉菌。
土壤主要是黄土(冰河时期的风沙沉积土),再加上一些火山岩和密苏拉河的冲积土。
27英亩的土地里被分成5个五英亩左右的土地,种满了黑皮诺和一小部分雷司令以及琼瑶浆。
2008年他们特别用了六英亩的土地作为生物动力学的试验田,2011年这块田开始产葡萄。
这块土地从最早到现在都以种植黑皮诺以及克隆品种为主。新葡萄园则有2英亩种植雷司令,霞多丽,黑皮诺(韦德信变种)
在酒庄建立之前,这里是一个种满了核桃,榛子和梅子的果园。一些比力老的果树如苹果,樱桃,柑橘和梨子被保存下来漫衍在酒庄周围。
安卡酒庄获有L.I.V.E认证(环保种植与酿酒)。自从2010年份的酒开始他们就加入到了L.I.V.E项目中以获得OCSW认可。




Located on a southeast-facing slope of the ChehalemMountains AVA on the outskirts of Newberg, Oregon, the Nicholas Estate Vineyardwas first planted in 2001. The elevation varies from 350ft-650ftand the vineyard rows are planted in a north-south direction, benefitting fromcool, drying winds through the 99W corridor which keep mildew and frostpressure at bay. The soils are primarily Loess (wind-blown ice age sediment)with some outcrops of volcanic Jory soils and deposits from the Missoulafloods. Of the original 27 acres, five 5-acre blocks are different clones of Pinot Noir, and there is anadditional acre each of Riesling and Gewurztraminer. A further six acres wereplanted according to the biodynamic calendar in 2008 and saw their firstharvest in 2011. The original vineyard is planted to Pommard as well as DijonClones 114, 115, 667 and 777 on varying rootstocks. The new vineyard is plantedin 2-acre blocks to Riesling, Chardonnay and Wadensvill Pinot Noir. Before theproperty was planted, it was a walnut, filbert (hazelnut) and plum orchard.Many of the old fruit trees from the original farmstead still grace theproperty and produce apples, cherries, quinces and pears.


AnamCara is certified both L.I.V.E. (Low Input Viticulture and Enology) and SalmonSafe. With the 2010 vintage, their winemaking facility joined the L.I.V.E.program allowing the wines to qualify for OCSW status.
